Delaware Bay Launch Service, Inc. has been owned & operated by the Rowland family since it's inception in 1973. As a Delaware River Pilot, Capt. Harry H. Rowland saw the need in the early 1970's to provide a launch service to the vessels anchoring in the lower Delaware Bay. Capt. Harry's son, Capt. H. Hickman Rowland opened the doors of Delaware Bay Launch in early 1973 with an unsurpassed commitment to provide service second to none as his business reputation was also his family reputation. After the untimely passing of Capt. Hick Rowland, his son Christopher Rowland took the helm with the same passion & commitment to excellence as his father & grandfather. 

Over our 50 year history, Delaware Bay Launch has taken great pride in offering our customers the fastest, safest & most dependable launch service on the Delaware Bay & nearby Atlantic Ocean. Staffed with our highly experienced Captains with an average tenure of over 15 years, we have safely performed over 500,000 personnel transfers up to 200nm offshore.
